Mouth Corner Correction
Lifting downturned corners for a brighter smile
Mouth corner correction lifts downturned corners of the mouth, so your mouth looks as if it is smiling even at rest.

Who it is for
- Your skin has sagged with age, and the corners of your mouth have dropped
- Your mouth corners have turned down since birth, so you look gloomy or people think you are angry
- You work in customer service or hospitality, or are job hunting
- The muscle that pulls your mouth corners down is strong, and the corners turn down
What is mouth corner correction?
Some people are born with downturned mouth corners. In others, the corners sag along with the skin as they age.
Downturned corners can make you look gloomy or angry, and tend to give a cold impression.
Mouth corner correction reshapes these corners for a brighter, kinder look.
How the surgery is done
We adjust the muscle that pulls the mouth corners down so the corners turn upward. Surgery follows these steps.
- A small triangle of skin is removed around each mouth corner.
- The muscle that pulls the corners down is weakened, and the direction the muscles move at both corners is realigned.
- The area where skin was removed is closed with stitches.
Aftercare
To help your recovery, please follow these points.
- Swelling, bruising at the injection sites and mild itching settle on their own.
- After surgery, avoid scrubbing hard when you wash your face.
- For a while, do not expose the treated area to extreme cold or heat.
- If pain at the injection site lasts more than a day, or the area turns red, please come to the clinic.
- Avoid baths and saunas for about 2–3 weeks.
- You can wash your face and wear light makeup from 1–2 days after the stitches come out.
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 2–3 weeks.
Risks and side effects

- Swelling and bruising after surgery or treatment
- Infection or inflammation
- Asymmetry, or a result that differs from what you pictured
