What is a brow lift?

The aging of middle age occurs due to repetitive muscle contractions causing wrinkles from facial expressions, sagging due to gravity, and deterioration of soft tissues.

Symptoms of aging include sagging of the forehead and drooping of the eyelids, with the skin of the eyelids stretching and covering the eyes. Therefore, by pulling up the wrinkled skin and excising the muscles that create the wrinkles, it is possible to improve the wrinkles of the forehead, glabella, and around the eyes, as well as the sagging eyebrows and eyelids.

Forehead lift surgical method

Surgical Procedure

1. Make an incision about 5cm behind the hairline.
2. Peel the entire forehead up to the eyebrows.
3. Lift and secure the overstretched forehead skin and muscle as much as possible upward, then remove the excess and suture.

Postoperative Care Instructions

  1. After the surgery, if there is swelling or pain, it is beneficial to apply an ice pack. From the third day after the surgery, applying a warm moist compress can aid in recovery.
  2. For four days after the surgery, keep your head higher than your heart when sleeping to reduce swelling more quickly.
  3. After surgery, refrain from drinking alcohol and smoking, as they can delay the healing of the wound. If it’s unavoidable, wait at least four weeks before doing so.
  4. For four weeks after the surgery, avoid sleeping on your side. It is preferable to sleep on your back in the correct posture, and avoid jogging, swimming, and meridian massage until six weeks post-surgery.
  5. After the surgery, taking sufficient rest and vitamin C can assist in the regeneration of collagen, thereby aiding recovery.
