SILICONE AS THE MOST COMMONLY USED MATERIAL FOR RHINOPLASTY

Additionally, there is a risk of inflammation due to the sharp shape of the nose. However, if this is your first rhinoplasty and you have a thick skin, then silicone is the most effective choice.
The silicone used in rhinoplasty is processed into various thickness and shapes. If it is selected and used correctly to the shape of the nose, it will be able to raise the bridge more effectively.
How high should the bridge of the nose be?
In particular, we have to consider some categories to get a perfect nose, such as:
- The area we want to raise between the eyebrows
- Where we want to have the starting point of the nose
- How high do we want the tip of the nose to be
- Then selecting the material
- Afterwards cutting the material according to the shape of the nose
When all of these are considered well, it will fit well against the bridge of the nose.
During rhinoplasty, people often try to shave off the bridge of the nose to fit with the silicone. This is wrong, and the correct method is to carefully shave off the silicone and match it to the original nose bridge.

Firstly, excessive greed is prohibited! Choose the height that suits one’s nose
If you place an implant that is too thick or raise it too high due to an excessive desire for height, it will look unnatural. Not only that, it also will cause problems such as discomfort, pain, skin discoloration, and protrusion of the implant.
Second, it rests on the appropriate skin later
If the implant is inserted in the correct layer, it is normal for it not to move when touched. The correct later here is the deep layer of the nose, and the implant inserted to the layer will be well-fixed in the long term and reduce further skin complications.
Third, no silicone on the tip of the nose

Fourth, recognize the risk of infection
Implants such as silicone when inserted into the nose, it is advisable to avoid additional injections of foreign substances such as nasal fillers. Additionally, trauma and eyebrow tattoos can cause infection, so care must be taken at all times after undergoing nasal surgery using artificial implants.

The foreign body reaction may cause the nasal bridge to swell and contraction may occur. Infections at the other sites can also be transmitted through the bloodstream due to infection at the surgical site.
